Mr. Don Onyango


Mr. Don Onyango is an ambitious young member of N.E.W.A. his areas of interest are leadership, increasing access to quality education to the vulnerable communities, and alleviation of poverty. He has a wealth of experience in working with vulnerable communities in remote areas implementing various policies and programs aimed at alleviating livelihoods for sustainable development. At N.E.W.A, Don is responsible for dealing with all the correspondence of the Association and issuing notices convening all meetings of the Welfare. Do also preserves all records of proceedings of the Association. 

Don's journey to NEWA Family has been diverse, spanning a variety of sectors including Education, Social Welfare, humanitarianism, and international development. He investigated the public perception of access to quality education, economic empowerment, livelihoods, and social welfare which enhanced his passion for the strive to achieve poverty alleviation.

As the Secretary-General of NEWA Family, Don Onyango sources evidence to inform our portfolio of programs. From education to health, policy-making to economic empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods, he aims to bring data to life across a range of demographic backgrounds of diverse communities to support in ensuring that our work is as impactful as possible.

When not knee-deep in community outreach programs, Don Onyango enjoys bouldering, board gaming, and exploring new corners of the world.
