Patron

Silvans Tabu Onyango

As an association of members from diverse backgrounds, we acknowledge the fact that we are prone to challenges that may derail our effort to work as a family. In order to overcome these possible barriers, members resolved to elect, by a simple majority a parent who would serve as the association's patron for a period of one year effective from the date of the election. The current occupant of the office of the patron is Mr. Silvans Tabu, whose role is purely advisory to the members, management committee, and summit. As the patron of NEWA, he is responsible for creating harmony between members of this welfare and their parents. The patron also creates a network, linkage, and connection between the Association and potential donors, well-wishers, and charitable organizations that can fund long-term capital development projects.

With a wealth of experience working in the private sector, Mr. Silvans is better placed to guide the association in securing donor-funding for its project and activities. NEWA hopes to bank on his network in both private, public, and NGO sectors to sign partnerships and sponsorship programs that would benefit members in different projects and activity areas.
